Life cycle maintenance
Maintenance Contracts, A guide to best practice for procurement (BG 66/2016), written by Karl Godfrey and Martijn Groen and published by BSRIA in November 2016, states: ‘Life Cycle Maintenance (LCM) is generally capital project work that is carried out in spans of 5 years where assets are renewed or replaced. Organisations generally plan for these activities and carry out projects depending on the condition of assets, business needs and the available budget over time.’
